墨西哥城国立大学的学生罢课行动已经持续了月余，室友Sombra与Santos则宅在宿舍中，每日靠意淫电台节目中的女孩以及戏弄邻居的女儿、帮他们偷电等举动打发时间。Sombra的弟弟托马斯的到来打断了他们无所事事的生活——他的母亲因为他在楼顶扔水气球砸中邻居和婴儿的事件而劝他到城里避避。
